Neely, November 2, 1936, in the Court House in Fairmont, West Virginia, before a visible audience of nineteen hundred people. The address was broadcast by Radio Station WMMN, while "loud speakers" carried it to approximately five thousand people on the streets of Fairmont, who could not find standing room inside the Court House."
