Journal article reprint from: Journal of the American Water Works Association, v.21:no.8 (1929). Discusses an appellate court ruling handed down in Frankfort, Indiana, which held the city responsible for damages to local waters caused by the sewage system. The author, as Secretary and General Manager of the Clarksburg Water Board, hopes this will raise awareness and possibly set a precedent for other cities and manufacturers, as a growing population increases the demand for pure drinking water.
